September Summit and Park County Community Insider

Thank you for reading our September Summit/Park County Community Insider! It’s hard to believe that we’re already a week into September and the cooler weather is quickly approaching. As much as we will miss the warm summer days, Colorado is truly a special place in the fall. Many would say that this is the best time of year to enjoy one of the many hiking trails or go for a scenic drive to see the changing leaves. Of course, there is also the famous Rubber Duck Races and the 46th Annual Great Divide Art Festival on Labor Day weekend!

2021 Summit County Parade of Homes

If you’re interested in exploring some of our local neighborhoods (or looking for a builder, architect, or designer) we think you’ll love spending a day touring the Parade of Homes. Back for the 26th year, the Parade of Homes showcases the best of our local construction, design, and real estate professionals. Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your current home or in the market for your next one, you won’t be disappointed. Each of the privately owned homes on the tour is equipped with the most current design features and technologies available. Take your time exploring the properties, we think you’ll enjoy them!

The event takes place over two weekends and you can download the Parade of Homes guide by clicking here. For $20 you can purchase tickets at Alpine Bank, Coldwell Banker offices in Breckenridge and Frisco, or Mountain Comfort Furnishings in Frisco. You can also order them online through the Summit County Builders website.

Breckenridge Wine Classic

If you are able to attend the Parade of Homes the weekend of the 18th you’ll be able to round out the day with the Breckenridge Wine Classic. This event features hundreds of high-end wines, beers, and spirits as well as local food artisans. Whether you’re there for the spirits or food and cooking demonstrations, you won’t be disappointed!

There’s plenty of free parking available during the Wine Classic but you can also take advantage of the free local bus systems! Electronic tickets are available online and rest assured that all local health and safety precautions will be followed. There’s also a 21+ age restriction on the event. Perfect for a weekend away from the kids! Check out the Eventbrite page to purchase tickets and get all of the available information.
