I’m excited to see the weather getting warmer and spring finally arriving in Summit County. As the numbers increase for those who have been vaccinated in our community I have hope we will be able to once again be social in our community. We missed out on a lot of great events and activities last year, but this year will be different! There are some great socially distanced events taking place this month. Open mic nights, art strolls, and community clean-up days! Keep reading for my May Summit County Community Insider.
Open Mic Night
Join the Moose Jaw in Frisco for its open mic night! What a fun way to try something new in our community. Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 20th, and come be a part of the fun! What a great idea for date night or even to meet up with friends. You might end up with the mic in your hand by the end of the night.
Silverthorne Art Stroll
The town of Silverthorne is kicking off an Art Stroll series during May’s First Friday. Join them for an Art Stroll along the Blue River Trail from 5:30 pm till 7:30 pm on Friday, May 7th. Pop-up artists and musicians will be set up all along your walk for you to enjoy. There will also be live music at the Baker’s Brewery before the art stroll begins. Attendees are asked to practice social distancing and wear a mask. Also, don’t forget to pick up your free bingo cards at participating businesses beforehand! For more information click here!
Town Clean Up
Looking for a way to give back to our community? Get you some fresh air and help clean up Summit County at the same time. This year’s clean-up will take place from May 15-23 with plenty of dates and time for people to stay socially distanced and still be able to give back! Personal supplies can be used for pick up or you can pick up supplies at designated areas in each town.

- The Town of Breckenridge – Breckenridge Public Works
- Town of Frisco – Frisco Town Hall
- The Town of Dillon – Dillon Town Hall
- Town of Silverthorne – Red Buffalo Coffee and Tea or Silverthorne Recreation Center
